Well Saturday was a great day for Morgan!  She was the “Childhood Ambassador” speaker for “Cruze In For A Cure” vintage car show in Boyertown raising money for The American Cancer Society’s, “Relay for Life”.

Sherry Sperring, who I work with, coordinated the event and was also diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer about the same time as Morgan.

The weather was perfect and Morgan was very excited to be able to speak to the group about her journey to recovery and even more so because she was going the be able to select and present the “Kids Choice Award” for the show.

Morgan did a great job, she was very calm, cool, and collected as she stood in front of the crowd to tell her story.  We tried to rehearse so she would be confident in her delivery, but she would have nothing to do with it and just wanted to shoot from the hip.  I think I was more nervous then her.

After her speech Sherry presented her with the “Childhood Ambassador” award, a special poem, and matching Glass Tears necklaces for her, and her best friend Max by Randal Doaty of Glass Tears”.

After the presentations Morgan was able to sort through the ballots to select the “Kids Choice Award” winner, and present the trophy.

As if that wouldn’t be enough activity for one day for anyone, afterwards Morgan met with Momma and Max to have dinner with Grammy and Pop Pop, then a sleepover and Sesame Place in the Morning.

I get tired just thinking about it!
